Customers can also choose from more than 120 key international titles from around the world. Designed specifically for libraries in the U.K. and Ireland, this unique collection is comprised of both daily and weekly newspapers, each with authoritative, staff-written news coverage. Thus, researchers can stay informed and up-to-date on local, national and world news.

Customisable, map-based interface
Librarians can customise the intuitive, map-based interface to meet the needs of students, faculty and staff by highlighting specific newspapers or a single title. Researchers can browse newspapers through the U.K. map, search titles from a particular section of England with the England regional map or choose titles by country from the world map. Also, Access U.K. & Ireland Newspapers was designed with quick links to groups of titles that are important to U.K. colleges. These shortcuts enable users to access articles quickly and easily.

Fast results and advanced searching
Through a newly released, faster search engine, researchers can quickly find relevant information by headline, name, topic, keyword, date, author and more. Results can be viewed by relevancy ranking or chronologically. The collection also supports:

    • The ability to browse a title by date
    • Searches by U.K. date format
    • Viewing of article descriptions in results list
    • Federated searching
    • MARC records, OpenURLs and more

An unprecedented news and information resource
Updated daily, Access U.K. & Ireland Newspapers meets the needs of U.K. colleges by providing web-based access to millions of current and archived newspaper articles, enabling researchers to pinpoint sources, compare perspectives and track subjects historically and geographically.
